Build a massive GPS wall clock!
March 20, 2006
Spark Fun Electronics have posted plans of how to build a massive 12 foot, GPS-powered wall clock that accurate to 100ns!
It's not a project for the feint-hearted and involves a lot of building frames, cutting Styrofoam and wiring. Oh, and it also involved a fair bit of electronics!
At the heart of the clock are PIC 16F877A and ULN2003A ICs (integrated circuits) and a Lassen iQ GPS receiver (and a load of Ethernet cabling!).
Check it out at Spark Fun Electronics.
